Destination Proposals: James’ Surprise Proposal in Paris

Paparazzi Proposals loves destination proposals, and we recently had the pleasure of capturing James’ proposal to Andi during their trip in Paris! 

The newly-engaged couple met 6 short months ago on September 19th, 2015 at one of James’ best friends wedding in Chicago. Andi’s sister was part of the wedding party. Though James had grown up with Allie, he never met Andi until that night. They were introduced at the cocktail hour and ended up talking and dancing the rest of the night and until morning, 5am to be exact. Later that morning (after some sleep) James convinced Andi to accompany him to return his tux at Men’s Warehouse. After dropping it off, Andi insisted on a stroll through Millennium Park. They eventually had to part ways, but after two weeks of texting  and talking non-stop, James booked her a flight back to Chicago.

James was drawn to her confidence and the authenticity of her smile and appreciation for life. After spending time with James, Andi knew life would always be an adventure with him. He brought a positive energy into every room he walked in, and Andi instantly wanted to be around him, and has been ever since. She knew James was the one when he finally visited her in  New York. They spent the whole weekend touring the streets and meeting Andi’s friends, but her favorite day was Sunday. They went up to her roof to paint pumpkins and drink Brooklyn Brewery’s pumpkin ale. It was then that she knew no matter what they did or where they went, they needed to be together.

James has always been fond of the saying “go big or go home,” and Paris seemed to fit that mold. On a romantic getaway, he surprised Andi with a diamond ring. Paparazzi Proposals was there to capture every moment.
